So cozy our student fell asleep while we unrolled it to test
The best mattress topper ever. Natural, soft but firm and super cozy. Got one for college, one for home – it was that good. As soon as we unrolled it, our kid fell asleep testing! Made by hand. Talked to owners about exact measurements- the customer service is perfect,Got all my questions answered and more. Ignore comments about âsmellâ, they are from jealous competition. It is a safe natural temperature regulating in heat and cold (as in the dorms!) alternative to chemical laden foam. Everybody loved it in college, some friends took naps too, it is that good. The only complaint- this topper makes the bed so super comfy that it makes one sleep more.

I think I may love this pad
When this product arrived and I took it out of the box, my initial feeling was disappointment. It was wrapped in some kind of thick cling wrap. There was no carrying case like other reviews had mentioned. It even looked too small to fit on my queen sized bed.After I unfolded it and used the elastic bands to secure it to the bed, I saw that it did fit (if just barely). It looked a lot thinner than I’d expected, but–even as I felt skeptical–I was kind of glad that it wasn’t a full futon. (I’d had one of those in college.) There was no smell. It looked hand stitched. It was secure and didn’t slip as I made the bed. The only thing left was to test it out.After I made the bed, I laid down on it. I’m an acupuncturist, and I believe that everything has an energy. I know not everyone adheres to this philosophy, but I do, and I immediately liked how it felt. Maybe I was sensing more airflow. Maybe wool has a different vibration, or maybe it was simply psychosomatic. (I just spent a bunch of money and wanted to love my new topper.) Whatever the reason, it doesn’t matter. It felt good.Okay, before I continue about the pad, I should quickly explain why I bought it. I have an old mattress, but one that I love. I take good care of it, because they quite literally don’t make mattresses like this anymore. A while back, I put a dust mite protector over it, but what’s been great for my allergies hasn’t been great for airflow. After all these years, it’s still a firm supportive mattress. But… it’s quite old. So, I wanted to buy a topper to help keep it going, and I wanted it to be made of natural fibers to help increase airflow.I bought a bamboo topper that was very comfortable, but WAY TOO HOT and returned it. I then read that although bamboo is a natural fiber, often once it’s turned into cloth, the process creates something that’s closer to synthetic than natural fiber. It’s not biodegradable in the same way other natural fibers are.I read about the benefits of wool and found topper that boasted 3 layers: natural rubber latex, wool and cotton. Before investing in that, I decided to try this one (as it was half the price).The first night on this mattress topper, I felt it was perhaps just a tad too firm. Inspired by the more expensive topper, I ordered an all cotton mattress pad to go on top, but it hasn’t arrived yet. The two items together are still cheaper than the other topper. (Just to clarify, I have a cotton mattress cover on top, but the one coming includes a layer of cotton fill.) I’ll update if it makes a huge difference.That was the first night. I’ve slept on it two additional nights, and I must admit, it’s been wonderful so far. I’m not even sure I need the cotton layer, but I want to try it just to see.I’ve already offered to buy my mother one of these wool toppers, so yes, I recommend this pad.Update: With the CottonPure mattress pad, it’s simply blissful.

I’m so tired of products that are nothing like the pictures shown…
My mattress is super hard and I need some support.I’ve ordered multiple toppers now and every single of one them is NOTHING like the photos used to sell the product.The pictures for this show a tall, fluffy topper.What you get is a topper that’s been vacuum pressed, smashing all the wool together.We spent over 3 hours massaging each individual square to get this fluffed up and nothing worked.While it said 2″ topper… we could’t get it higher than 1 inch with 1.5 in a few separate areas.The practice of showing products in your images that don’t match what you sell should be banned.At this point, if you’re looking for a topper… get 2-3″ MORE than what you actually need. That’s your only guarantee that you’ll get something close to what’s listed.

I have updated my review-This is a legitimate company still in it’s early years and working out a few minor kinks but honest, transparent and willing to address concerns and find a solution for any issues in a pain free, polite and timely manner.Here is what I found out:This topper is indeed 100% natural materials and the stuffing is 100% wool. It is not a blend nor is it synthetic. The odor is because this is an organic material and not chemically treated, time for smell to dissipate depends on how sensitive an individual is to smells and airing it out will help it disappear as well as time. As for the dimensions being off – this is due to the handmade nature of the topper and once it is stuffed it is no longer as long or wide as the materials we’re pre stuffing – the company is working to resolve this issue.I had a originally had few concerns about the topper, if it was a wool blend or just 100% wool stuffing ect, my king size topper was off in dimension and I didn’t understand why I had such a strong odor coming from the topper.I spoke with Mark and I can say that the customer service from this company is unmatched. Before our conversation I was unsatisfied and very skeptical. I no longer feel that way. They answered all of my questions and were completely transparent and honest, and knowing that 100% natural is important to me from earlier in the conversation, when I asked about a different product of theirs that I was interested in purchasing possibly being a better fit dimensionally, they immediately let me know that that specific product had another component to it that wouldn’t be 100% natural wool before telling me anything else. That kind of honesty goes a long way and I appreciate that more than anything. It shows that they are not out to take advantage or willing to be dishonest to make a sale, which in turn makes me want to see this business thrive.

Wow! Magnificent mattress topper! It arrived in a box and very well wrapped in plastic wrap, but not vacuum-packed, it even included a small cutter to cut the plastic safely (it’s in the box). I didn’t smell any unpleasant odors, in fact, it didn’t smell at all. I ordered for a double bed and the size is perfect.Also amazing how cool it stays throughout the night, you can feel it. Don’t expect a very soft mattress topper, it’s quite compacted wool but it’s ultra comfortable, it gives a good cushion for sleeping. To protect it, I put a waterproof but breathable mattress protector and my fitted sheet on top and nothing moved.I highly recommend it and I had very good communication with the seller who is very kind.See attached photos.Wow ! Magnifique surmatelas !
