What I should have bought the FIRST time…
This was not the first mattress I bought for camping in my Subaru Outback. The first one I bought was one of those blow-up air mattress types and it was horrible. Oh, it was fine at 4″ thickness…until a few short hours later it was dang near flat. I returned that sucker and after researching further and reading many others comments wound up buying this dual-type foam mattress. I am literally a “Happy Camper” now!When I first opened this tri-folding mattress from the boxes and wrappers, ya, it was < 3" thick, as expected. (Pic #1). While waiting for it to expand to its full thickness I unzipped a portion of one end to inspect the construction. Just as advertised with 1" blue memory + 3" yellow foam (Pic #2). After leaving it alone for several days the mattress expanded to its advertised thickness of 4" (Pic #3). Everyone just needs to be patient at the beginning.I really like the fact that it's tri-fold because it's light and easy to maneuver. Each section is 25" X 25" and stacks neatly together when not in use and is 12" tall overall.I then took it out to my Outback to check the fit making sure I had taken my measurements correctly. I folded down both rear seats, put a fitted flannel sheet around it, then laid it on in there. Fits like a glove at 75" long X 25" wide X 4" deep (Pic #4). Then put my sleeping bag on it and crawled on in for a dry run (Pic #5).I'm 6-ft tall and must say that it does, in fact, feel comfortable enough to keep and although I have not been out camping in it until this cold winter passes, believe that I can easily spend a few nights on the road with this setup. There are several road trips I have planned coming up and will give this mattress setup a real workout. I may come back to this review and update it later with details.Seems that this is the real deal, folks. I'm hopeful that we didn't go wrong by purchasing this well made foam mattress. NOT twin size, they’re single.
There’s really nothing wrong with these mattresses… with one glaring exception, the item description is wrong. These are listed as “twin size” and I was under the impression that I was paying for twin size. These are clearly single size, which is smaller. When I first looked at them they were listed as a mattress on one listing, but I THINK they both say “mattress topper” now. They are a mattress, not a topper unless it’s a topper for an RV bunk or camping cot, I’m not even sure they sell single beds most places anymore.The price absolutely should be adjusted as the item description is just plain wrong. I believed I was paying for twin size, that’s a big difference to anyone larger than a 4th grader. This is the reason I’ve removed a star and honestly want to remove closer to 2 stars. Amazon really should allow us to use half stars.I ordered 3 total, two from 1 seller and 1 from another. These were purchased to use as camping mattresses for me and my youngest teenage son who is my camping buddy. We had intended to to use the spare for a dog bed for our very old dog, but now it appears I’ll need them all for camping. Sheets won’t be nearly as easy to find (or will be loose) as I’d planned to use our existing ones on these. I have MS and several other pain conditions so sleeping directly on the ground is out of the question and air mattress lose air and are very unforgiving on your hips and spine. If I can’t sleep, there’s no point in me camping anymore because I’m no longer a spring chicken and my health issues require adequate sleep.I haven’t slept on them yet, but I tested them out and it does feel like this will be just barely thick enough to use for me as a primary mattress for camping, but I’m a heavier lady. Most others would be thrilled to use this to camp rather than a 1/2″ bedroll or the ground. No matter what the description says, these are fold out mattresses mostly for kids/teens, not “mattress toppers.” These would be great to have for company that isn’t elderly/disabled or large, or even as a dog bed.Anyway, I drive a very large Suburban, so we have plenty of cargo space for luxuries like mattresses as only 2 members of my family camp. If we need to carpool there is always the roof rack. Even I can lift them without an issue, but they do take up quite a bit of space. I’ll be picking up some space bags today to try and make them and the bedding more packing friendly.I’ve left this review on the items from both sellers as I have no idea which mattress is which on this listing, but they’re all the same exact thing and probably brand. I will also be adding photos to my review once I figure out how to do that, and I’ll update after I’ve given them an actual test run.Update: I forgot to take photos, but these mattresses worked out great for camping, but that took up a ton of packing space as anticipated. The padding was adequate and much better than an air mattress which always leaves me in terrible hip and back pain. Two of these put together side by side with a very thin piece of flexible foam stretched across and held together with a full size sheet was perfect despite my size and health conditions. I did get one vacuum sealed and into a huge duffle bag, but the deal didn’t hold and it was far too much work to repeat…at least during camping season.

Fits Honda HRV, comfortable
So great. I was using a camp mattress from REI to car camp within my HRV but it was really obnoxious because fully inflated it was totally firm and you would have to flop it around and get frustrated in order to access your foot Wells or push the seat back to drive the next day, alternatively you could fully deflate it every single time which is obnoxious as well. I bought this on an Amazon warehouse deal I believe, or maybe it was just a sale. I was not about to spend over $50 on a folding foam. I had low expectations but it proved to be extremely comfortable-I got a great night of sleep and used actual memory foam pillows as well. If you push the driver’s seat all the way forward on a Honda HR-V, and fold it down, you can squish this single size mattress full length from the driver seat well to the back of the vehicle. I’m 5’7 and I had a few extra inches at the end of my feet to spare, it was fantastic because as a solo female I don’t really want to be in a tent exposed to the elements or two campsite weirdos. It’s very comfortable and I love how I can simply fold one section forward as soon as I wake up so that I can pop my driver seat back into position and drive away without having to mess with folding or deflating or whatever. It’s also really nice to tailgate, I can have it semi-folded and prop myself up relaxing and tailgating in whatever park or Beach or Forest I’m in.

Foam mat
This thick mat is just right for an overnight guest for sleeping. Folds up in thirds, so easy to store away. It’s even comfortable.

Didn’t fully expand
I am a bit disappointed with this mattress. It came rolled up and tightly compressed and you are supposed to lay it out flat and let it expand. It is supposed to fully expand in 72 hours. It has been a week and most of it has expanded but some of the corners haven’t. One corner is only 2 inches thick and is hard.

a really good and cheap alternative to a shikibuton. its really comfortable and has a washable cover too. it fits me perfectly, and I am a 5’8″ adult male, just for reference. I totally recommend for anyone looking for a good floor mattress!

Let me start with a great comment. I can’t believe how fast this was delivered. It arrived at my door in just three days from order date. The box had not dents or damage to the box. That was a great start. I opened the small box that maybe 10″ square and about 24″s tall. When I looked in, I saw that they had vacuum packed the mattress. Then, when I cut the package it started to expand. Once I got it out of the bag I laid it out on my floor and left it till the next day so it could return to it’s regular size. I did inspect the mattress, all of the seems, the joints, the backing and it all looked great and that is the kind of stuff that makes me happy. So with all of that said and done I laid down it and see what it felt like. It is Memory Foam for sure I remembered my last bed which had a memory foam mattress and there is certain feel to it. This is yet another great purchase I have bought from Amazon, and the delivery was very fast, I am not saying that it would be that fast for everyone, but my delivery for the mattress was just great, and the mattress is incredible and is exactly what I expect. A primera se ve que va a ser una colchoneta más y que solo la vas a usar para estar un rato pero vaya que no lo es. A simple vista se mira muy delgada pero una vez que la sientes y la pruebas te enamoras de ella.Cabe un adulto de 1.80 sin problema, lo uso para dormir y no me duele el cuerpo ni siento el suelo.Vi que muchos dicen que en dos dÃas restaura su tamaño pero esto no es asÃ, el mismo instructivo dice que en dos horas. Asà lo hice yo y quedó bastante bien.

I ordered this bed for my babyâs nanny. The idea was to let her have something comfortable, yet something compact and foldable, that can be stored inside a cupboard post use. This mattress is very comfortable, easy to use and fold, and serves the purpose really well. Highly recommended
