Eliminate harmful chemicals by going organic!
Many mattresses today are made with potentially harmful chemicals that can leach out or “off-gas” into your child’s bedroom air. Replacing these materials with certified organic and non-toxic ingredients is an excellent way to avoid unnecessary exposure to these chemicals. We feature organic cotton throughout while meeting all flammability requirements with NO FLAME RETARDANTS OR FLAME BARRIERS WHATSOEVER! With Naturepedic, you not only get organic cotton fabric and filling, but the entire finished mattress is certified organic as well. Say NO to toxic chemicals with a Naturepedic kids mattress!

Luxurious Quilted Finish
The Verse is beautifully tailored with a luxurious quilted finish packed with real fibers. This design naturally breathes and wicks away moisture for a comfortable healthy sleep.

Organic Cotton Fabric & Filling
Organic cotton is the purest form of cotton and a healthier alternative to synthetic fabrics and foams. Naturepedic uses only U.S. grown and certified organic cotton as filling for its mattresses.

Organic Wool Batting
Wool wicks away moisture, provides natural fire protection, and offers temperature regulation. It has a natural crimp that gives it bounce, body, and soft support characteristics. Organic certification ensures healthy, well-treated sheep and the elimination of harmful chemicals during processing.

Comfortable Support
Whether your child is on the quilted side or the waterproof side, rest assured they’ll be comfortable. With generous layers of organic cotton over a high quality premium innerspring, the 2-in-1 feels solid, supportive and comfortable.

Our unique technology
Naturepedic has developed its own unique process for manufacturing pocketed coils that completely avoids the use of ALL glues and adhesives. This is an excellent example of how Naturepedic goes the extra mile to provide the purist and healthiest components possible.
Individually Wrapped Encased Coils
Made in-house without ANY glues or adhesives!
Naturepedic manufactures its own encased coils to ensure quality and durability. High carbon-content steel, heat-tempering and extra turns ensure long lasting durability and exceptional comfort support characteristics.
Encased coils are also super-breathable, providing a space for heat to dissipate as compared to all-foam designs. Encased coils also drastically reduce motion transfer. By wrapping each coil in its own pocket, movements and vibrations become isolated and dampened.
NO Flame Retardants of Any Kind NO Polyurethane Foam Encasements NO Glues or Adhesives GOTS, MADE-SAFE and GREENGUARD CERTIFIED

Update in Mattress Design and is Now much better
Below is my initial review for this mattress. As you’ll see, we were not happy with the purchase, contacted Naturepedic about it and ultimately decided to return it an go with another manufacturer. Our initial purchase was about 1.5 years ago. A couple of months ago someone from Naturepedic contacted me and said that they re-designed the mattress and asked if we would be field testers. They had gotten similar complaints to ours which prompted a look at their Quality Assurance processes as well as the overall design of the product. We agreed to test out the redesigned version of the mattress. They sent us a new one (this time a twin which we requested). You’ll see the first two pictures are the original mattress that we returned. It literally looks deflated and never expanded after sitting out for a week or so with no one laying on it. The third picture is of the mattress immediately after unpacking. It was already so much better. The redesign is much improved! We can’t feel the springs through the top like we did with the original and the padding on the top of the mattress is soft without giving up the firmness of the mattress which we want for our growing kids. I have spent the night on it to be next to my sick kiddo (my 1.5 year old is still in a crib and we currently have this mattress in his room for guests until he is out of his crib) and found it really comfortable. I tried the original one we had as well and I gave up partway through the night because I felt every spring in my back! After speaking with the company and learning about the changes they made to the design as well as getting to try out the mattress for ourselves, I’m giving the mattress 5 stars. I have already recommended it to friends and family who were looking for a safe, eco-friendly mattress for their kids.Initial Review: “I normally don’t write reviews but this product suprised me with how bad it was. The mattress arrived rolled up as we expected and we let it lay ourtfor a day to fluff back up. However, it never really fully expanded even after 3 or 4 days. The pictures show a relatively plush, or at least cushioned top but ours was wrinkled and looked like it wasn’t stuff all the way. When laying on the bed we could feel every spring. I contacted the manufacturer, Naturepedic, to see if this was a lemon and sent pictures. The response from the company was that the mattress looked fine. When they responded that nothing seemed wrong I asked if feeling the springs and no cushion on the top is their expectation of their product because I wanted to know if I should return it or exchange it. They said the mattress seems to be as expected. Luckily Amazon is great about returns. Overall, I do not recommend this product. I wanted to love this product because there aren’t many organic mattressoptions for kids. We found out we have a small, local organic mattress manufacturer that does not use flame retardants that we will be purchasing a mattress from instead.”

Peace of mind and comfort too
After driving myself crazy for a month at least reviewing the organic mattress options for my soon to be 4 year old as we transitioned her to a big girl bed (in an attempt to get her out of our bed ð) I finally settled on the full size Verse. It arrived promptly, unpacked easily and so far seems wonderful. The first night she and I slept on it, I noticed it felt a bit uneven/sinking in some places and after getting up in the morning there were dents that didnât pop back up so I reached out to customer service who was quick to reply and solved the issue in the first message. Turned out the slats of the bed frame were too far apart (not sure why I didnât think of that!) and werenât supporting the mattress well, so they recommended a bunkie board (as we did not want the added height of a box spring). Once we got that in place the bed felt so much more like it should. My little one loves it and itâs comfortable enough for me to sleep on too as she gets more used to spending the night alone in her own room. We hope it will last her for many years to come!

It STINKS!
We were very excited about this mattress as it is advertised as made with high quality materials and no off gassing of harmful chemicals. So imagine our surprise when we opened the bag and the smell was so overpowering, we took it out of our toddlerâs room right away yet the smell stayed there for another couple of hours. My eyes were watery within minutes and my nose got runny. Iâm very glad our toddler never got near it.The room we took it to so it could air out hoping it would fix the problem, became unbearably stinky.I thought something had to be off because this was supposedly made with good materials. I figured it must have been a fluke, perhaps it was mold or mildew on it from storage to have given me watery eyes and runny nose. Thanks to Amazonâs GREAT customer service, they shipped us a new one (I still have to go through the hassle of taking this to the UPS to return), but the new one, which wasnât even unpacked yet had the exact same smell).Iâll now have to go through the hassle of returning not one, but TWO mattresses (and back to searching for a good mattress for my toddler. Should have asked the moms in my FB community what theyâre using before I went through this – but will make sure to warn them to skip this one.

Will Order Again!!
Outstanding customer service. I was allergic to the mattress I had just bought from a different company. So I was anxious to get this new organic cotton mattress. I ordered it and called their company directly. Everyone I spoke with was courteous and professional. They did what they could within reality to get me the mattress quickly. I had an issue later but customer service communicated with me immediately and things quickly resolved. Packaging was simple and appropriate. Just be careful to slit open the plastic slowly so as not to catch the mattress itself. Once opened there was no chemical smell at all. In fact, I had to laugh because there was an overwhelming smell of cotton in the room! But that dissipated by the time I went to bed later that day (leave window open during the first day if it is bothersome). The mattress itself is on the firmer side, which is fine with me and cannot be flipped, but they have other options available. This is the one that fit my personal requirements. Actually, the first night I slept on it facing wrong side up (long story), threw a blanket over the springs and still slept like a baby! I will order again from this company.

So comfortable
I wish I had this mattress honestly! Itâs the perfect height and firmness for my daughterâs first twin-size mattress. A little bit of an odor when we got it, but I donât notice it now (5 months in). I feel really good about the fact that itâs made with natural materials. (We are a fragrance free, no plastic home.)
