3 years later and it is still great
I bought this mattress 3 years ago and it’s still great. My husband and I have different mattress needs. We first bought a mattress from the fancy mattress store but soon found out that it wasn’t for us. Rather than try finding a mattress that we both liked, we bought 2 twin mattress, one to fit each of our needs, and put them together on a king platform. I bought this one, because I read that it was firm, while my husband ordered a fancy mattress from a furniture store that was medium and plush. Fast forward to now and my side is firm and not sagging while my husband’s side, the expensive mattress, is sagging and ready to be replaced – also my husband works away from home 3 nights a week so his mattress is really disappointing. My mattress has surpassed my expectations. Neither my husband nor I are feather weights, so to see this mattress hold up under +200 lbs. night after night and keep it’s shape compared to a name brand mattress if fantastic. The value is amazing. I find this mattress to be firm without feeling like a concrete slab. It has enough give to cradle the body while offering support. I used it the same night I opened it, although the direction said to allow it to spring back. Overall, it’s a great mattress that is comfy, performs well, and at a great price point. I definitely recommend.

Excellent Firm Mattress- Good Price, High Quality- Worth the Expense
Short version: My wife and I have had this mattress for over a year now and can say with confidence that it was an excellent purchase- it is still firm and has no sags or dips. I highly recommend it.I have held off on writing a review for this mattress because I felt it was necessary to sleep on it for an extended period of time to give it the most fair and accurate review. My wife and I purchased this mattress over a year ago, in November 2017.After going to all the local stores, from big box to mom and pop, my wife and I found ourselves with a problem: we could tell which mattresses were soft and which were firm, but aside from that we didn’t really feel much difference apart from the price tag- almost all of which exceeded a thousand dollars, with some approaching two grand. That’s quite an outlay of cash.So, going off reviews on Amazon we took the leap on this Zinus Extra Firm iCoil 12 inch king mattress. We also purchased a steel foundation upon which to set the mattress in our bed frame. The box arrived a little beat up, but my wife and I muscled it into the house and carried it upstairs together. It’s a two person job, but not impossible. We set the rolled up mattress on our guest bed and carefully cut away the plastic so the bed would unroll. (Pro tip: Don’t stand between the mattress and the wall. You might get pinched) We followed the directions and let the mattress sit undisturbed for 2 or 3 days so it could fully expand. After which time, we moved it into our bedroom.It’s now more than one year on and I feel qualified to report on the mattress. It is firm, but not rock hard. This is obviously subjective, so all I can say is that you know a firm mattress when you lay on one, and this is a firm mattress but is still comfortable. I’m a side and stomach sleeper, and my wife is a back sleeper. I’m 5’11”, 230lbs, and we’ll just say that my wife is plus sized and leave it at that. The mattress supports both of us fine, and a year later has no depressions, dips, sags or problem areas. The last time I did laundry I snapped some photos of the mattress which I have posted above. You’ll notice the mattress is still even and flat, even after a year of nightly use.I purchased this mattress myself, with my own money, have no relationship with the manufacturer, and am receiving nothing in return for writing this review. I just know how difficult it is take the leap of purchasing something like this over the internet, so I thought I’d write a review to help people in a similar situation my wife and I found ourselves in last year.This mattress was an excellent purchase, I’ve recommended it to friends, and if you’re in the market for a fairly priced firm mattress, I can recommend it to you as well. Say goodbye to sleepless nights
We have purchased this mattress three times. We have sent it to relatives as well. The thickness of the mattress is just right to give the comfort needed. Some say memory foam leaves a dent in the bed. Well it is designed to do that to comfort your boney processes so that you donât wake up in pain. The mattress has great retention qualities. Once you are out of the bed, the mattress returns to its original form. The mattress is easy to move around. As far as order is concerned, it has a slight smell which dissipates very quickly. The directions say to let the mattress expand for several hours after opening, however, the expansion capacity is faster than you would think. Manufacturers recommend waiting for maximum expansion. We and our family have not had any issues with expansion. Sleeping at night is so much better. My pregnant daughter and her husband called to say thank you for alleviating their sleepless nights after installing this mattress.

Donât listen to the bad reviews!
Okay, I have a bad back. Lower L4,L5 herniated discs. Iâm also a belly and side sleeper for anyone that is as well. The only relief I get is sleep and a good firm mattress is paramount for waking up to not feel that pain immediately. I need a firm mattress, not the medium firm when after a month you have a âspotâ(Sag) already in the bed. That being said, itâs only been 3 nights and I can say at this point⦠get the mattress especially if youâre on a budget like I was. We kept the old one, just incase.. Iâve already been through a few, trying to find the right one. I think we got it. Itâs supposed to be 12in. Itâs not, but I donât see any downside. Itâs firm and has a bit of softness. Not much though. Some reviews say itâs sags really bad when sitting on the edge and that almost made me not buy this one and Iâm so glad i decided not to listen to those reviews. It doesnât give in like you think unless youâre literally on the very end and your bottom isnât fully on the mattress. So changing socks or whatever youâre doing sitting on the side, youâll be fine. It hasnât caused me an issue at all. Overall once I finally fall asleep I wake up, feeling refreshed and pain-free. That is a major win for me. However I did give 4 stars because it would have been nice if this bed came in a 14 inch. So far itâs only fluffed up to 10-10.5 inches. Still worth it for me. Hopefully this helps all you folks with lower back pain.

This mattress is far superior to others I have tried! It is supportive and firm! It is very comfortable and I wake up with no aches and pains! I have two queen size and this double size! We love them! The company is great and delivers what it says it will! Best mattresses we have ever had!It popped up full size as soon as we opened it, no problem!If you are looking for a great mattress, then look no further because this is it and you wonât be disappointed!

I bought one of Zinusâ memory foam mattresses two years ago and was looking for something firmer for my mom. Ordered this mattress in twin size through prime and received it within 2 days. Itâs a spring mattress vacuum sealed in the box. I would say this is an extra firm mattress. Photos included are of the mattress within 5 minutes of unwrapping from the box. Beware it expands quite rapidly – within 5 minutes it was already at 10 inches and at 30 minutes at 11inches in height. Will be letting this expand for a while but lying on the bed so far I have zero issues. Was very hesitant because some reviews said the mattress wasnât firm enough but trust me, it is. For $200 it is well worth the money.

I purchased the Zinus Queen Mattress â 10 Inch Foam and Pocket Coil Spring Hybrid (Extra Firm) expecting a durable, supportive product backed by a 10-year warranty. Unfortunately, my experience has been quite disappointing.Within just a few months of use by my children, the mattress became permanently deformed and deflated, and it has never regained its original shape. This has led to consistent back pain, which is alarming given the product is advertised as “extra firm” and motion-isolating.To make matters worse, I tried contacting Zinus through their official support portal multiple times, but the site is full of errors. I attempted using different browsers and laptops, but every time I encountered a different issue that prevented me from submitting my complaint. This is incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to resolve a health-related product concern.If Zinus support sees this review, I kindly request you to contact me and arrange a replacement for this defective mattress as soon as possible. I still believe in your brand and hope to see this matter resolved quickly.

Decent quality but no edge strength.cant sit or lie comfortably close to edge of mattress. Maybe it would do better with small childrensâ weight.Ok for the price to keep in spare bedroom. Wouldnât recommend for long term use for adults.
