This is the best waterproof mattress I have found after years of searching. It is not the most comfortable, but not terrible either. If you are looking for something you can spray down and clean regularly, this is your best bet.

It serves a purpose but it’s hard.
I bought this mattress for my Autistic son who sometimes has bed wetting accidents. I was constantly washing bedding and mattress protectors etc etc. So this one serves a purpose of no leakage. However, it is not comfortable at all. It’s hard as a board. So, I bought a 2 inch foam mattress and mire sheet protectors to protect the foam. A foam is a must for this bed!

A bit ‘squishy’, but overall a decent budget mattress for a toddler/child who wets bed occasionally
Purchased this for our toddler, who has slept on it for about 10 days so far. We are generally happy with it and there do seem to be springs inside and they provide plenty of support, however the foam surrounding the springs is slightly squishy and a bit bouncy — particularly around the edges of the mattress. The squishy/bouncy factor is very noticeable when an average-sized adult lies down on it (we had adults weighing 130, 150, and 200 pounds test this mattress).It provides more than enough support for our toddler, who currently weighs under 50 pounds. There is very little squishy/bouncy action when our toddler moves around or rolls over. In other words, this mattress seems best suited for toddlers or young children under 60 or maybe 70 pounds.The vinyl exterior seems fairly waterproof (very useful for kids) and there is vinyl on the bottom as well as the top, so we assume that the mattress may be flipped over and used with either side up — a rarity these days, as most mattress manufacturers force consumers to use only one side and then replace the mattress when that side gets worn out or stained. The white piping does not seem waterproof and could get a little stinky if a child wets the bed near the edge (where the piping runs), although we may be wrong about this.Overall, this is a decent mattress for a toddler/child who wets the bed occasionally. As long as the price remains around $150 with free shipping, this really is a great deal.

It IS waterproof – satisfactory mattress purchase for special needs person!
I needed a waterproof mattress for a special needs teen. This one is actually waterproof unlike the foam one I previously purchased from an amazon seller. It is not especially comfortable but certainly tolerable. You won’t have to throw it away in a month if your plastic sheet leaks. The only complaint I have other than the fact that it isn’t as comfortable as foam mattresses is that it isn’t super sturdy plastic but similar to what is found on a plastic baby mattress, so will work for most people. Someone else may have mentioned in a review that the edging on the mattress is cloth so it has to be cleaned carefully if saturated. I use bleach on it if it gets wet and so far so good. Satisfactory purchase.

hollow bed with springs only in mattress.
This mattress set was for quest room to be used only a couple times a year. its very noisy, and has no padding what so ever and feels as though its going to break when laying on. idk if this is for toddlers going through potty training because it does have the plastic covering, and maybe ok for them but definitely not anyone 5 and up. We recently removed it and cut the plastic shell off the mattress to see what was inside and its just springs absolutely no filler or padding anywhere that was shocking, the box spring is very cheap light thin wood so its no wonder it feels as though its going to fall apart when laying on. no i do not recommend this product
