Best mattress ever (so far)
This review is for the 330lbs person sleeping on a memory foam with back pain.I read a lot of reviews on different mattresses and one night decided on this one. I was skeptical at first because ALL of the reviews are great, so i went to our olâ reliable app, Reddit, and read a thread where someone was also kinda skeptical with all the good reviews but a fellow redditor could vouch for this Avenco mattress so i decided to give it a shot.Today is Dec 19. I got this on Dec 13 at 11:30am. I set it up right away, fairly easy to set up and open for one person but mind you, itâs EXTREMELY heavy. It was so hard to get out of the box, but i digress. I let it air out for 12hrs and by the time i went to sleep it felt great. The booklet says to give it 72hrs until it expands fully and it actually did just that.Before this mattress, i had a memory foam for four years. It was the worst mattress ive ever used. I liked it at first, but after the years, it got horrible. My back hurt so bad and the week before buying this Avenco one, i woke up in the middle of the night crying with back pain. Now let me tell yall, the morning after i woke up from sleeping on this heavenly mattress, i magically had no back pain. I see life in a different color now. Im not even exaggerating, this mattress fixed my back issue. Im so happy with this purchase that i have been talking to my mom about it for days now and when she came to visit me, she tried it and now shes thinking on purchasing one for herself!The mattress is firm, but soft on top. You cant feel the springs, it didn’t come ripped and it didn’t have any weird smells. The only negative thing i can say is that the label said âthis side upâ with an arrow and i followed the instructions and it opened upside down. But thats an inconvenience more than anything.Seriously, if you’re reading this, stop looking for another mattress. This is the one.

Take Time To Read The Instructions First. Great Purchase!
UPS left the box propped against front door. That worked in my favor as I live alone. Opened the front door and the box fell inside yay! Maneuvering was a bit easier than I thought however check the box for the instructions! I did not see the insert folder until the mattress was fully removed. Luciley I did find it prior to removing the outer plastic from the mattress role. It comes with a little tool to cut the plastic. Ok, be ready. Have little kids, pets and breakables on nightstands out of the way. Pay attention to the red up arrows on exterior of plastic wrap. I was able to push the rolled mattress up onto the bed platform. Once I gingerly removed the plastic that mattress springed to life so quickly. It knocked a picture off the wall and pushed me back a bit. All funny now. Anyhow easily flipped it into place. Let it air out overnight. No smell. It is very comfortable. First night of sleep I slept through my alarm. That is a huge deal for me. It has been nearly a week and the sciatic pain I had has dissipated. Full disclosure I replaced the former hybrid mattress on acct of my cat urinating on it. If you have pets or any other reason to use waterproofing I’d do it. I got a waterproof zipper protector in addition to a WP mattress topper. Really happy with my purchase. Also, if you do have help setting it up it is probably best. I can see the potential risk for safety concerns. Because once that plastic is partially off POOF! You have little time to react. Hope this helps.

First impression upon opening the mattress packaging
My Avenco Queen Mattress (12-inch hybrid) arrived three days earlier than projected, so it sat around for 3 days until I returned home. Ultimately, the mattress sat in the shipping box for about 80 hours following delivery before opening it today (04 June 23), and the manufacturer recommends opening within 72 hours so that’s a tad concerning.Upon opening the shipping box, I cut through single layers of the rolled plastic encasing the deflated mattress. I was unsure where the outer plastic wrapping ended and the inner wrapping that vacuum-sealed the mattress began, so this slow approach probably kept me from being flung across the room upon opening the mattress packaging, as some buyers reported in their reviews.The mattress began inflating instantly upon cutting at the vacuum-sealed plastic that encased the mattress itself. Within a few minutes of opening, the mattress was looking mostly inflated, except the 4 corners that were noticeably less inflated than the rest of the mattress. I smacked the corners with my hand to help loosen up anything possibly impeding inflation.I intend to let the mattress sit for the next 3-5 days and see what happens.
