I’ve used several sleeping pads over the years, and this one easily ranks among my favorites. I bought it for an upcoming camping trip with my partner, and decided to give it a try ahead of time. It delivered far more comfort and convenience than I expected at this price point.Let’s start with setup. This pad uses a built-in foot pump, and that feature alone is worth applauding. It took just a few minutes to fully inflate without using a separate pump or my lungs. You simply step repeatedly on the marked spot, and the pad fills evenly and surprisingly quickly. No more struggling with battery-powered inflators or inflating by hand.In terms of comfort, the cushioning is thick enough that I didn’t feel the ground beneath me at all…even on uneven terrain. The attached pillows are a nice touch, and the length and width of the pad make it ideal for two people or one person who likes to sprawl out (which I do!). The material is tough but soft enough that it didn’t feel plastic or crinkly.Deflation is just as easy. Remove the plug and it quickly releases all the air, folding down into a compact size that fit easily in my backpack. It weighs under five pounds, which is incredibly manageable for its size. We also plan to use it again indoors for overnight guests.A few things to note: it works best on relatively flat ground, and if you’re camping in extreme cold, you may want an additional insulating layer underneath. But for spring through fall conditions, this is more than enough.Compared to other pads I’ve tried, this one stands out for its balance of quality, packability, and ease of use.
