Hombys 3″ Egg Crate Memory Foam Mattress
Hombys egg crate memory foam camping mattress.Very soft and cozy.This 3″ foam mattress comes in a vacuum sealed bag. It aired up pretty quickly.The mattress is soft and on the less firm side. I was hoping for a more firm mattress, but this one was a little softer. I tried using it in different places. I was able to sleep well on my couch, ground and my old mattress fine.I think this would be great for camping, more than a permanent mattress topper for your bedroom mattress. It rolls up fairly tight, but the straps don’t hold that well. They should use better straps to hold it tighter.Overall not a bad mattress for camping, and sleeping on the floor. It could have been a little more firm and had a better strap.

Too soft
I’m extremely disappointed in this foam bed. It offers very little cushioning and lacks adequate support for sleepingâwhether it’s on a carpeted floor or the bed of a truck.I purchased the large version expecting at least moderate firmness from the 3″ of foam. Instead, what I received feels more like soft packaging foam. I’ve bought $50 mattress toppers with similar support, which makes this feel more appropriate as a bed enhancer at homeânot as a standalone sleeping pad for camping.Fortunately, my intended use is to layer this on a camp cot, so it’s passable. But for the steep price of $100, I would strongly recommend exploring other options that offer better support and padding, especially for camping usage.

Too soft
I’ll have to agree with the person who said that this is too soft and offers no support. The weird thing about softness is that many people assume soft == comfortable, but it’s about like thinking more sugar == more tasty. If you put 2 tsp of sugar in your coffee you think “that’s a lot better!” but if you proceed to put 5+ more tsp of sugar, your coffee will taste terrible.Too soft means you sink right down into whatever surface is beneath the mattress. If it’s a bed – that might be fine. But this is for camping. In our use case, I got this for people sleeping on the cot on the RV floor. This will not do much to help the cot be more comfortable. They should have used higher density foam or whatever to make it sturdier and not just sink into it right when you sit on it. Maybe a really lighweight person will get some benefit out of this, but I got it for my husband who is 6’1 and over 200.For this price, this could be a lot better.

Comfy Travel Mattress
My partner and I have a weight difference of about fifty pounds, so I tend to roll into him when we go to bed. I got this cushion to help me fight his gravity. It splits a queen mattress down the middle. Hopefully the slight lip will help me stay on my side of the bed!Our foam mattress is getting up there in age. It’s definitely shrunk over the years. Having this mattress on top of my other mattress has added a lot more comfort. It didn’t take too long to inflate, but it was relatively warm today. There’s a very, very slight foam mattress smell, but I don’t find it unpleasant or overwhelming. It’s dissipating quickly.I’m glad I have an emergency napping pad. We’re getting ready to move house, and I plan on taking this mattress over while I get the new house ready. I’m the type that tends to fall asleep after I’ve exhausted my stamina, which is not hard for me to do. (I plan on ripping out a lot of carpet!)

Great quality camping mattress! This camping mattress is easy to roll up. It is very comfortable to sleep on. It has great quality fabric on it. It is the perfect size to travel with. It has a good thickness to keep you from filling the ground.

I purchased the Homby’s 3″ Thick Egg Crate Memory Foam Camping Mattress to use on our guest room convertible sofa, which is quite firm and uncomfortable for either my wife or me to sleep on.The mattress arrived well-packaged and tightly shrink-wrapped in multiple layers, keeping it compact during shipping. Once opened, it expanded quickly and appeared to be well-constructed. Itâs easy to roll up for storage, and the included carrying straps are convenient and straightforward to use.My wife has tested it over the past two nights and reported a significant improvement in comfort. She was able to sleep without experiencing the usual hip or shoulder pain caused by the firmness of the sofa.If I had one suggestion, it would be to improve the storage straps. Adjustable webbing buckles would allow for a tighter roll and more compact storage.
