This crib mattress is VERY waterproof. Meaning itâs almost a little too crinkly waterproof. However I do love that. I added a bamboo mattress cover and the sheet and itâs now super comfy for baby girl.

Lullaby Earth mattress review
After researching crib mattresses and learning about the toxins they contain and off-gassing, I decided to buy new mattresses for my boys. I bought the Naturpedic lightweight mattress for my 7 month old and love it. It is a high quality mattress and seems very comfortable. My only complaint is that it doesn’t “fill out” my son’s crib, and it has that organic cotton smell–it seems to be fading with time. Since my 2 year old won’t be in his toddler bed much longer, I decided to go with the Lullaby Earth mattress because it is cheaper and still a safe choice. I received it yesterday and was a little disappointed after having a Naturepedic mattress. The Lullaby Earth mattress looks similar to my Naturepedic mattress in the workmanship and design. Instead of being a natural color, it is white. And of course it is not made with organic cotton. The cover also seems a bit thin. So basically I would say that if you take away the organic cotton from the Naturepedic lightweight mattress, you pretty much end up with the Lullaby Earth mattress. Nothing special, very simple, seems a little overpriced. It is firm without being hard–I think that the one sided mattress is fine for infant or toddler. The great thing about it is that it doesn’t smell, and it is a safer alternative to other mattresses. I would recommend it, but if you can afford it, I would go with the Naturepedic. It just seems like better quality.

Amazing Product
I love this mattress! It is super light weight and makes changing the crib sheet a breeze. My son spits up frequently so I have to change his sheets regularly. The ease of use makes this job quick and easy–two minutes at max. I am short so wrestling a heavy mattress would not have been much fun. My son is now 4 months old and has slept great on it since we started putting him in his crib. He is well supported and looks very comfy. The mattress fits a standard crib perfectly and fits the crib sheets we use (Dwell and Aden & Anais). I also love that it is made in the USA, is made with natural materials and is biodegradable. But the best part is the price. You can’t beat that. Also, the mattress shipped beautifully and even arrived early.

I love how lightweight it is
I have this mattress for both of my kids, almost 3 and almost 1 and have not had any denting that other reviewers mentioned. I love how lightweight it is, it is a game changer when you are changing sheets in the middle of the night, have a crying baby, or just don’t want to hoist a 30+lb mattress around to put on a fitted sheet. It is firm, which is how a baby mattress should be. While it is totally waterproof we do use an organic waterproof, cushioned fitted sheet underneath the regular fitted sheet to provide an additional layer between the fitted sheet and the ‘plastic’ feel. This really helps. Also, no chemicals, no smells nothing.

Easy to clean!
I bought one of these for my first baby, and when we found out we were having another, I knew what mattress to buy! It is lightweight. It is firm for baby (and my other daughter still uses hers in her toddler bed). And, it is waterproof. I donât have to hassle with liners! Any time there has been an accident, I could basically strip the sheet and wipe the mattress clean. That is one of its best qualities!

Buyer Beware! Sags in less than 2 years.
I bought this mattress early 2018 for my then 2 year-old daughter, to replace the cheaper, more plasticky mattress she’d used since she was a baby.I was initially happy with the purchase, seemed like a nice, lightweight mattress. It was definitely quieter than the old mattress and I liked that it was so “green”.18 months later, the middle of the mattress is completely sunken in. We flipped it on a regular basis and my daughter doesn’t normally sleep right in the middle, so I’m not sure how that happened. It just seems like the fill/padding has moved to the sides, leaving hardly anything in the middle.I would go into her room in the morning and she would be sleeping on the floor, saying it was more comfortable than her bed.We’ve since moved her into a twin-sized bed and she’s no longer sleeping on the floor. I cannot recommend this mattress to anyone!
