Excellent Sleeping Pad
I picked up two of these for summertime backyard camping and so I could have an air mattress replacement when my grandsons and friends sleep over with their sleeping bags; we will also use these when we use our RV. The mattresses are extremely easy to inflate: open three valves to ‘wake up’ the foam, close the two on the back, and use the built in foot pump to inflate to my desired firmness. This process took less than 3-5 minutes. The mattress is comfortable; it is a little harder than I expected but not uncomfortably so, and makes sleeping on the ground easy. It has a built in pillow, but I found it to be far too low for me, so I will be using something in addition.One thing that really impressed me was its foldability: I have struggled with folding air mattresses in the past, but these could be deflated and completely rolled up in about 3-4 minutes. I just followed the included instructions and was amazed at how well they rolled up. The mattress comes with two elastic straps to hold it in its rolled form, and a nice carry bag.The only (very) minor complaint I have is that the mattress is a little heavier than I expected, but since I am not taking it backpacking this is not a concern.I highly recommend this sleeping pad; this is ideal to have in your closet at home for guests, when sleeping space is at a premium, or if you have kids, for those living room or backyard ‘camp out nights’. They are bit pricey, but so well made and durable (and storable) that I expect my grandsons will still be using them when they have families of their own.
