Very good quality at a great price!
Unlike the majority of the previous reviewers, I did NOT receive this product at a discount or for free in exchange for a review. I decided to take a chance on it since it was decently priced and needed a simple back-up mattress protector for the expensive, high quality one we usually have on the baby’s crib mattress. I was pleasantly surprised – the quality is very good. Stitching is done well, and it is thicker and more plush than many pads similarly priced. It also does not have the cheap, stiff and crinkly waterproof/water resistant material. It is quiet and soft – perfect for baby. I have already washed it a few times and it has withstood washing and drying without shrinkage or wear. Overall, a very good quality pad for a good price.

A must to protect crib mattress!
Highly recommend!!! Wanted a backup mattress cover and this was the best find! It’s soft and comfortable and is certainly waterproof and does the job. Love that it’s all natural and my baby isn’t laying on top of chemicals. Great price and product!!

Smells like chemicals. Not fully organic cotton.
It looks and feels nice and soft. That’s it for the good.I could have lived with the fact that only the top layer is organic cotton and the rest is polyester. Though it’s advertised as Organic Cotton – you would expect that the whole thing is made of that. But the real problem for me was the smell of it.The moment I opened it I noticed a chemically smell. It doesn’t have a label on the pad itself for the fiber content. Packaging says Organic knit cotton jersey top and sides, polyester fiber fill, knit polyester laminated to polyurethane. To confirm I asked the seller of the ingredients and if it has any flame retardants but the answer I got was – “It’s non toxic.The smell is probably from the packaging.” The packaging meaning the plastic bag it’s in – nope, I smelled the bad itself too. No smell there.It also doesn’t say where it’s made. That’s just too many red flags for me.So back it goes.

Very soft and quiet waterproof mattress pad
Very soft, fits standard crib, has a quality feel. Held up through 1 wash/dryer so far. I was concerned when I removed it from the packaging that it seemed a little crinkly but my son and I did a noise test after putting the pad on the mattress – it was totally silent. We haven’t tried a pee test yet :-)I do wish these were gathered (ruched) around the corners like the Threshold sheets for a tighter fit. I usually end up reaching under the crib and pulling the sheets/pad to get rid of wrinkles.The pictures make the pad look more white – it is an ivory/cream color. The price is good for what you get.—–Update – we’ve used this for 3.5 years now and it is STILL waterproof and has held up through many washings and quite a lot of abuse. If I could find one of these for his new twin bed (coming soon) I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Really happy with purchase over time.
