Thank you Sleep Innovations!
My wife and I were sleeping on a third hand sleep number and both bladders were comprised nightly pain and reinflations were the norm for 2 years. We were now a year away from our 30âs and we decided it was time after getting our twin girls beds to buy ourselves a new bed. Me (being the head of research in the house) started digging into every brand review and rating. Overwhelming is a great word for describing todayâs mattress scene, so many brands so much advertising and paid reviews. We figured out we would want a âhybridâ style mattress figuring it would give us the nice supportive plush with a decent core that would make it more firm. That very quickly narrowed the search, most of the companies on Amazon selling memory foam seem to have no history, and being a child of the internet I know if a brand doesnât have history it usually wonât stand by its name. And until I happened upon the Sleep innovations page and found this the âHudsonâ I was genuinely worried we would have to spend 1500 for a queen like her sister did on the Saatva hybrid. Boy did I get lucky 10 year warranty like all the big expensive brands, some of the best feedback, a third of the price for a king and overall they were the company that started the bed in a box idea? Well I was sold or rather the Hudson that arrived at my door was. I was so excited I left work early to tear home and set up our new bed. 4 hours of not touching it and it was already at its full 12â. This was it we showered put the kids to bed and climbed on in within minutes we were knocked out I woke up at 4am to my alarm and hopped out of bed like I did when I was 20 thank you Sleep Innovations for the gift you gave me and my wife, I am so pleased and actually excited to sleep again!

An honest review for people looking for honesty
Reading through a lot of mattress reviews on Amazon, you come across too many generic reviews: my back hurt (how do you sleep?), nice and soft (what is your softness scale?), like a dream! (what does this mean?). I was researching numerous hybrid mattresses and settled on this model. Here is an honest review with actual numbers, like weight, scales, and all that good stuff.FIRMNESS:The firmness rating by the manufacturer is Medium, so basically a 3 out of 5. To me, this feels more like a 2 because the top of the mattress caves in a bit more than I was used to on my previous mattress which was all memory foam and no pocketed coils. I weigh about 230lbs so perhaps I sink in a bit more than lighter folks, but this being the USA I would say my weight is average for a male of my age. That being said, it’s still comfortable and it seems like my daily “wake up with soreness” has disappeared, so it’s already worth the price. We have also upgraded from a king from a queen so the extra space may help, and eliminated the box spring and got a platform. I think this helps A LOT.EDGE SUPPORTNone really. My dog rolled off the first night and she’s only 35lbs. If you sit on the edge you sink a lot, it doesn’t really keep its shape. I find it easier to sit on the corner if I have to do so to put on shoes and socks. Otherwise, I avoid it because perhaps it’s not designed for that. The extra space of the king has prevented me from sleeping on the very edge as I used to with the queen (again, dog sleeps on bed). So edge support for me is not super important.SET UPI unpacked it from the box, cut it open like they said, and it inflated to about 90% of its size immediately. They say it takes 24-48 hours to fully inflate and you can sleep on it, but due to my past experience with memory foam mattresses, I let it rest and we slept in another room that night. That being said, I continuously checked the height and sure enough one side hit the 12″ and the other end was about 11 3/4″. Not bad, seeing that my 100% memory foam prior never did that. It’s also HEAVY at 133lbs so you may need some assistance getting upstairs or in another room.COMFORTOverall, I’m happy with how comfortable the mattress is, and that is saying a lot compared to my previous experience. While the sinking in more than usual will take getting used to, it seems like once you’re in bed it’s comfortable. I do not seem to have an issue rolling around or getting out of bed like I’m stuck.CUSTOMER SUPPORTSince the mattress set up fine I had no chance or reason to contact their support.ADULT ACTIVITIESI will say there is plenty of room for adult activities on the king size. The mattress does not move and with the platform, the ship sails steadily.I hope this review helps anyone looking for an honest take on the product.

8 months later and still the perfect mattress. No topper required.
Iâve had this mattress for 8 months and I am so happy with it. Iâve tried every type of mattress out there and when I needed a new one, someone on Reddit had mentioned this one. Iâm 37 and have had back problems most of my life. I underwent an L-5/S-1 spinal fusion last year so Iâm really picky with mattress quality and comfort. This fits the bill and is the only mattress Iâve loved âas-is.â No modifications or toppers needed. Itâs not too soft, but doesnât feel hard or stiff. I donât know how, but this mattress is perfect. For more reference, I purchased a queen size and am about 175lbs and share the bed with my 190lb partner (and often my 75lb dog!) Iâm still amazed at the price, itâs so much better than more expensive mattresses Iâve tried in the past. Itâs so good that I want to buy backups in case itâs ever unavailable, lol.

No Regrets
I waited two weeks to give this mattress a review and will update if anything changes. So far so good. Once I began experiencing consistent back and sciatic pain I knew it was time for a new bed. After doing my research I landed on this sleep innovations Hudson hybrid mattress. I know it can be a toss up ordering without first trying at a store but Iâm honestly very pleased with this mattress. I have had no back pain every since trashing my old mattress and transitioning to this one. It does come advertised as medium firm but itâs more like a medium plush. Somehow it manages to be very supportive. So you do get that instant plush instant comfort but you also get the support for your hips and back that you need. My husband and I combine for about 390 lbs and the bed does not sink. I sleep perfectly on my side, back, and stomach. If youâre on the fence, I think itâs worth a try and very affordable mattress. Great quality too. I will say, like many memory foam mattresses (though this is a hybrid), it does smell chemically for a few days. If you air it out and add some baking powder, it will be fine after 2 nights or so.
