I’ve been sweating to death for all these years without this wonderful mattress pad!

I have a mattress that came in a box (foam). Because I have health issues, I am trying to clean up everything in my life. On that list is having a healthy mattress. I cannot afford to replace the mattress so covering it was the next best thing. Foam mattresses are toxic & you sleep with your whole body on them. I got linen sheets and this mattress cover. It is cotton, not too thick. I did feel more HOT sleeping on it (I think my toxic mattress is a cooling mattress) but I still would recommend it for your health.

Quality
The minute I opened this mattress pad, I was impressed with its quality. It is heavy, solid cotton, and I love the feel. You do have to wash it first, though, as I believe it was manufactured to be oversized to accommodate shrinkage. It fit perfectly and easily on my king-sized bed after being washed. And be prepared to reposition it in the dryer a couple of times, as with any heavy cotton bedding, it will dry on the outside of the pad and stay damp in the middle unless you reposition it a few times. Note: This is NOT a waterproof protector, just a nice, comfortable pad to give SOME extra protection to the mattress.

Impressive!
This has to be the best made and most comfortable mattress pad that I have ever owned! It is sturdy, meaning very well made, but simultaneously luxurious. Wash and dry before using as the directions suggest, it shrinks a little to fit the bed like a glove.

We totally LOVE this mattress pad and the company was kind, friendly and helpful to deal with. Could not have asked for better customer service…. every question was answered promptly.Have slept 3 nights on this now and it’s even improved the quality of our older foam mattress. It seems less “squishy” and a bit firmer with this addition. I have many allergies and we absolutely can not be touching polyester. Company informed me that only the elastic (which goes under the mattress anyway) and the thread were polyester. I have never had any previous company even consider the thread in regards to my questions. In this case, our bedding is good quality (and cotton) so a good barrier, not worried about stitching on the mattress pad. And the reality is…. polyester thread is tougher…. I just can’t sew with it myself.I did try it on the bed before washing, after reading comments. There was zero smell which is important to us. We did quarantine the pkg for 3 days as we do everything that enters our home. Pre-wash, it was a little bit bigger than the top surface of our queen mattress. After washing it fit perfectly. I washed per the info on the tag. Although our mattress is not a pillowtop…. I could have stacked a 2nd one on and still covered both with sides of the pad. So no worries about buying a future very thick mattress.I normally debate new purchases for quite awhile…. especially higher priced items. But needed a new 100% cotton pad now, and they are few and far between. Took a chance based on the company’s responses and very glad we did. Will not hesitate to buy from them again if we need one for another bed. I suspect this new one will last on our bed for years!!!Oh, and it came packed in a cute little cotton bag. Inside was tied up like a gift with cotton twill tape.

There was no identifying label anywhere on the cover apart from a tiny tag with washing instructions. There was no accompanying paperwork. The cover appears to be a good quality. I would have liked reassurance that it is 100% cotton as advertised.
