    Great for travel
I was a little concerned about this mattress based on some of the reviews, but, I decided to take a chance and I am really glad I did. We recently took a road trip from Texas to Florida in a Prius V and decided we would make the drive without stopping at a hotel by placing this mattress in the back and switching out. Because we were in a smaller vehicle we didn’t want a full twin mattress. This is NOT A TWIN, this is a single mattress – about the size of a sleeping bag – and it was perfect in the car. We put the back seats down and it fit right in, only taking up half the space so we still had plenty of room for luggage. We have an electric pump (this does not come with a pump) and we blew the mattress up before we left and it stayed in the car, inflated, for a week. We each took turns sleeping on the mattress and driving, so, the mattress was used pretty much for over 20 hours straight there and 20 hours coming back. The most amazing thing: we NEVER had to add air to the mattress (and we are not small people)! The price for this is great and I am going to order a second. The top is textured so the sheets don’t move around (and they didn’t) and it really was comfortable. I ended up getting the flu toward the end of our trip and this mattress was a life saver since I spent most of the return trip laying on it.

Better quality than most air mattresses on the market
This looks plush for an air mattress and one side is covered with felt like material.Very inexpensive for what it does and what I like most about it is that it’s only 34″ wide so I can put it on the couch and use it to watch TV while I lay on it.

Comfortable, convincing and durable sleeping bag sized air mattress.
I really like this air mattress. It has a soft velvety side to have closer to you and a smooth durable plastic opposite side. It is a extra large sleeping bag size. I planned to use it on a rough surface and was concerned it would get a hole in it I was able to put it inside an old extra large sleeping bag and fully inflate it. This also made it warmer to sleep on. I used it for camping and in the back of my Mazda CX7 SUV when the weather turned really bad. It fit perfectly front to back with the back seat laid down and still had room to though in my other gear to keep it out of the rain. It needs to be inflated so I purchased a car charger powered air pump separately to go with it. It was easy to fill and to plug. It stayed firm for several days of camping.

    Long lasting and holds pressure
I’ve used several different air mattresses over the years, and this one holds air longer than any I’ve found. The valve makes an unusual whistle when inflating that worried me at first, but I think that’s just how the valve is supposed to be. Very happy with this one, far better than the 2 brands Walmart carries.

    Not designed for an adult
Perhaps I just made a bad choice for an adult. I realized that the mattress was approximately 10″ narrower than a twin mattress and not quite as high when inflated. That said, the mattress did not hold the air when inflated and by morning would not even stand up. The adult who slept on it found pressure points on the ground rather than supported. Willing to consider that we had not secured the air intake hole, we refilled it and checked carefully to make sure there was not air escaping. Again, by morning the mattress was almost totally limp and the pressure points were on feeling the ground beneath. We will give it a try for one of the kids, but for use for an adult a mattress that is wider and higher when inflated is the key to comfort. As far as the air escaping during the night I can only assume that the weight of an adult (150 lbs) is too heavy for the mattress.

By the time I bought this air mattress (for Cdn $42, just before Covid) we’d gone through half a dozen bigger and better air beds. With no expectations of anything great, we bought this Zaltana Single as a just-in-case spare. Now, two years later, we haven’t used it much; but indeed it is so (relatively) small and unassuming that we are glad we have it–and now we are buying a second one. This time it costs $45.First to mention, I’m 75 years old and I can pretty easily blow this air mattress up just by huffing and puffing it as I would blow up a balloon. I noticed a few questions about “ease of inflation”. If you are a third of my age and you are a smoker, maybe you might find this airbed a worthwhile purchase just so you can think about what your lungs can and can’t do.Second, this mattress will likely lose air; but not badly if you just want a place to sleep. <> With 2 exactly the same, we intend having the autonomy of where you sleep, plus a nice side-by-side possibility. The single mattress is decidedly a SINGLE mattress, and if a second person is sleeping beside you but on the floor, say, you’ll find yourselves comparing sleep-comfort as well as the floor seeming a long way down. Even though the inflated mattress is just 6 inches high, the person sleeping parallel but on the floor certainly seems unfortunate. As we tend to sleep for several hours and both wake up in the middle of the night, we’ve been trading floor/mattress positions then. With two air mattresses, we can both enjoy the selfish advantage of the airbed. These Zaltanae have a fuzzy side, as well, which makes for a cozier night’s sleep.I’m talking about living room basic just-in-case use. For camping, I think this mattress would barely serve; but then, it does have the advantage of being inflatable without any gadgets at all, if your lungs are in good health. Oh, one thing more: once the airbed is inflated, try very hard not to step on it. (In the darkness, a flashlight might help you step OVER it but not ONTO it.) You want to spread your weight as evenly as you can, preferably kind of oozing your whole body in lying-down position as you stretch out onto the air mattress. Good night; and have a nice sleep.

Went down twice overnight first time I used it. Seems that the valve does not close properly unless you press it in really really strongly.

I really like the double plug feature but found this mattress too high for me. I could only comfortably sleep on my back with arms crossed on chest (Undertaker style) and even then most of the time my elbows would slide off and dangle my arms off the edge. Had the mattress not been so tall I’m sure I could have rest my elbows on the ground and been less annoyed. The mattress pockets also forced my heels to be in them which was slightly annoying. Otherwise it was exactly as described and the typical air mattress.

I purchased this air mattress intending to accommodate guests at my house for a few days. However, I was disappointed to find that it was quite weak, and after just a week of use, the glue came undone, resulting in a hole that rendered the mattress unusable. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against buying this particular mattress, as its quality is unsatisfactory.

I wanted something as small as possible and this one with only 27″ wide and 71″ long and thin is perfect. But at the same time, it is both wide enough and thick enough to give you a very comfortable night sleep anywhere. Also, because it is so small, it is very easy to pump it. It takes nearly half the typical air volume to get it ready. And then also the price is excellent. The price is so affordable that even if by mistake you damage it, it is not worth the time and effort to repair it. I’ll just buy a new one!Update: I tested it and loved it so much I ordered a second one together with an Intex Double Quick III S Hand Pump, 14 1/2 in for just $9.21. Great combination.
