Comfort & Ease Without PVC Smell
Sturdy, relatively comfortable, easy to inflate/deflate and very little plastic smell versus other inflatable beds since it’s not made with PVC. I already had a regular size one of these, and it’s nice to have a twin as well.

Nice mattress! High quality, no odor
I ordered this after buying a different mattress from another brand made from PVC, which is the material used in most air mattresses, including other models from Intex. By contrast, this mattress is made from TPU (thermoplastic urethane) which has MUCH lower odor than any air mattress Iâve ever used. Supposedly TPU is also more puncture resistant than PVC, although I havenât tried to test that claim. As for the other features, theyâre all good. Itâs easy to inflate and deflate with the built-in pump, the mattress is nice and thick, and the flocked surface has a good âfeel.âThe first (PVC) mattress had such a strong smell that I immediately rolled it back up and opened a window. It took hours to get the smell out. With the TPU mattress, honestly I couldnât smell anything. If youâre looking to buy a TPU mattress, look for the TruAire version from Intex. Other brands may have TPU mattresses, but I couldnât find them, and Intex is a well known brand so I just went with that.
Just Me –
Finally a comfortable inflatable mattress that doesn’t hurt our backs.
We bought 2 of these and went camping in the most dry, rocky place imaginable. (I’m talking big, back-breaking rocks, not pebbles). We slept comfortably all night and woke up with the mattresses still full of air (and our backs happy). The built-in pump works great – assuming you can plug it in of course. We did fill it up a couple of times before our trip – as recommended, and it worked great. We’re looking at getting more for our kids next.

Watch out for over inflation
I purchased the dura beam air mattress a little over a year ago. Since it had a built-in pump I figured you could not over inflate. However, when blowing it up one time I noticed this popping noise. I believe internal seams have given out and now the bed balloons out on both sides. This makes the bed feel really unstable.I used to be able to leave the bed blown up for several days without needing to add air, but now it seems to need air every morning.I’m 78 years old and have had several Intex airbeds. This is the second time this has happened to me. The first time occurred with a 8-in twin size bed. I inflated the bed with my own pump and assumed I just put too much pressure. Now it has happened again. I will no longer be purchasing Intex air mattresses.

Plug it in and inflate. Cord and motor incorporated in design. Easy to inflate and deflate. Nice elevated bed. Took camping and it was a bit too big for my small 3 person (better for 2 people tent) I placed at an angle and it worked. If I had a bigger tent it would have been better.

So far so good, firm airbed good enough for my back. No squeaking noises when you turn left to right which is a plus. Material is better quality then other brands and from intex also. Hopefully it will hold up and not deflate like other intex models I have ordered in the past. After a few months of use it started deflating on its own. So now I have to inflate it daily.

This air mattress has been an absolute life saver.I originally bought it because i was battling bed bugs and had to throw out my entire bed and box spring and obviously didnt want to purchase a new one until i knew the bed bugs were gone.Fast forward a couple of months and i thought they were gone… They arent. Very glad i didnt spend thousands on a new bed yet, but this air mattress has been absolutely fantastic!!After so much use i do need to fill it daily just to firm it up as I’m sure its not meant to be an actual “bed” for this long, but I would so highly recommend this to anyone. I live alone and have disabilities and this is simple to use and clean.
