Very nice quality mattress
Just wanted a better sleep experience. I have had this Novilla Queen memory foam mattress just over a week now. I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase. This was to replace an 8 year old Sealy Posturepedic. This mattress is not as firm as my old traditional Sealy mattress but I find myself waking up in the same position I fell asleep in which in my opinion means I was comfortable. I have been waking up refreshed and not tired at all so I know that I made the right choice. My mattress came rolled, condensed and wrapped in a box. Had very little smell at all. Almost smelled like the new car smell. Didnt even notice it after I woke up 1st night on it. I allowed it to sit and expand on my old box spring which I thought was fine at the time, we will get into that in a minute. I only let it expand 24 hours before sleeping on it. What I did notice is I felt a slight dip (& I mean slight) in the middle where I sleep whereas I am the only one on it at the moment. Nothing that affected my sleep pattern but I did some research with other brands of memory foam mattresses that suggested not to use a “spring fitted” box spring which is what I have. (some are built solid with no springs or give). I decided to throw 1/2″ inch plywood in between mattress & box spring which totally fixed the problem. The dip feeling was being caused by the box spring not the mattress. The directions say you can use box springs, wooden slats or a solid platform. I have put a full size carpenters level on the mattress now to see if the dip is there, premature wear or if the mattress is not level in some spots. Comes out perfect every time. The only negative I have found online using a solid platform or in my case a piece of plywood, it does not give the mattress breathability. I do get warm when I sleep and I do not notice any heat being thrown back from the memory foam as some people do complain with these types of mattresses. I do see the zipper and a label that says removable. I have not done it myself yet but a good option. There are other brand mattresses like this one close in price that I looked at that had complaints of removing mattress cover and exposing their home to dangerous fiberglass dust. Later, they found a tag somewhere on the mattress that said ” do not remove”. Glad this does not have that problem. This mattress is so much cheaper than those very expensive ones you see on TV. I took the chance and I’m glad I did and save some money. I Hope to get many years of use out of it. Just an additional tip. Don’t know how Amazon feels about endorsing other brand products so I won’t mention the name but that pillow guy on TV! Always thought it was a gimmick. I orded a set anyway. That was the icing on the cake to add to this new sleep system of mine. Just a suggestion, get the extra firm blue label not the flimsy standard ones. This completed it for me. Good night sleep every night.

I can’t sleep and my body hurts
Updated 18 months, it’s not even been two years and I turn the mattress every three months because it is uncomfortable but now the top support layer of the mattress has moved and is bunching up in the middle. The top part is no longer flush with one side of the mattress and it’s miserable to sleep on. I had a feeling when I got this mattress that something was wrong, maybe a dud because it was so uncomfortable.Update, after 16 months of owning this mattress my doctor has suggested that I purchase a new mattress because I have suffered with continuous back problems, body aches, restless sleep and feeling drained daily.I travel and sleep in hotel beds and I don’t wake up feeling this achy and exhausted.The mattress has absolutely gotten hard as a rock over the last year.It’s day 1 and I woke up at least 5 times during the night, my body hurts today. The bed is super hard in the middle but the edges are nice. I hope this bed is still forming and it’s not going to continue to be hard as a rock in the middle because I will have to sleep on the very edge of the bed to get some sleep tonight. Sadly I gave my other bad to someone who needed a bed. Yes I did let the bed sit for over 70 hours before I tried to get some sleep on it. I would also like to add, this in not my first bed in a box, not my first gel memory foam mattress.(Update) I have had the bed for over a month now and will say if you have Fibromyalgia or any other such condition this is NOT the bed for you. I even purchased a nice pillow topper and it hasn’t helped. I feel like I’ve been ran over by a train in the mornings. I also have kidney issues and this bed has caused flair ups. There’s no support whatsoever. Yes, you can return the bed but if you don’t have the money to purchase another bed before returning this bed your left without.(Update) After several months of owning this bed it’s ready for the trash dumpster! It’s the most miserable bed I’ve ever owned. My legs and knees constantly hurt from the hardness of the bed. Every night I wake up several times because I’m so uncomfortable. I had hoped the bed would settle after several months but it only seems to get worse! Please do yourself a favor and look for another mattress!
